I just looked up USI's men's 2021 schedule and I saw that USI men finished 2nd in the Illinois State redbird invitational. USI was the only D2 school in this invitational. USI had a better score than D1 schools Loyola, Depaul, Illinois State, Drake, Marquette, Northern Iowa, Valparaiso, Southern Illinois, Southeast Missouri State and SIU-Edwardsville. Only Big 10 Illinois had a better score than USI. I think the USI men's cross country is going to be competitive in D1.

both mens and women's CC teams earned All Academic team. USI had both individual winners on the field and now both teams get it done academically. Great to see our athletes are student athletes first. Attachments:

Let’s hope the men's and women's teams will get a OVC championship this year. Will be tough because I believe Martin and EIU both are supposed to be strong.

USI men finish 9th of 18 in a field that included IU, Purdue and Kansas State among many other strong programs. Of note, we beat UE again as they finished 15th. Attachments:

USI men finish 2nd of 19 teams in todays meet. UE finished 10th and all OVC schools finished behind USI. Hopefully we can do well at the OVC championship meet. individually USI finished with a 3 rd place and 8th place out of about 150.

USI finished 3rd overall out of 11 teams in the OVC championship today. Very respectable especially considering we lost our top runner after last year. EIU won again, mostly due to their 5th year runner that is head and shoulders better than the rest of the field. With him finally graduating this year, next year could be open for a new champion. Still, 3 rd place for USI is great achievement in transition period. Congrats to all the runner’s and coaches that continue to make CC a top athletic program for USI. Attachments:
