We just happen to be the unlucky team up next for them. I don’t see this going our way but I’m hoping to keep it competitive. I’ll say: Morehead. 78 USI 65

MSU will be playing more out of desperation. They cannot survive a loss to USI. MSU 76 USI 59

This was one of the road games I felt could really be a blow out. When you match a bad offensive team against a team that hangs it’s hat on defense? Well, let’s just say that is less than ideal. MSU coming off consecutive losses playing a USI team on a short turnaround after the longest road trip of the year? Yeah, that is less than ideal too. This game I’m just looking to see how much fight the team has left. The most important games are coming up after this one. Need to close with 3 wins to have a realistic shot at making the tournament:
MSU 82 USI 61

Calling it now, Our bigs are going to hit with ticky tack fouls early and Minix is going to have free reign on Powell and Causwell. He'll finish with less than 3 fouls we lose 81 - 59

It’s going to be tough to keep it close because they are already good but now we are down a third player for the season.

That’s about how I see it unfortunately. They are cream of the league and we are now a team down 3 players from the start of the season. It is what it is at this point. Just play hard and hope for the best. If we somehow shock the world and get a win, that great for us. But I’m not crying after a loss to the top ranked team in the league at their place because the are statistically about 200 points ahead of us in NET and Kenpom. I just don’t want to see another ISU game where we throw in the towel early and play all the last 4 on the bench a bunch and lose by 50. I want it to be as respectful as it possibly can be. Considering they are pissed off after that last loss and us losing yet another key player, just keeping it within 20 would be a decent showing imo.

Probable the best single sentence to describe this year.

MSU projected starters:
G 6’3 195 Drew Thelwell (9.5 PPG) G 6’5 200 Kahil Thomas (12.1 PPG) G 6’7 205 Eddie Ricks (7.9 PPG) G 6’7 230 Riley Minx (20.2 PPG) F 7’0 240 Dieonte Miles (5.5 PPG)
Losing Jordan Lathom has provided a big issue with MSU, as they have lost 2 straight games opening up the OVC. But of course, Minx is such a strong player and arguably their best one. MSU is also 12-0 at home this season too.

Go back to zone, can’t guard these dudes man to man. Takes your chances they won’t keep making 3s.
