I got a digital subscription of the Evansville Courier and Press. I scroll down to the sports section and about 90% of the articles are about Purdue and Indiana. If I wanted to read about Indiana and Purdue I would have gotten a Bloomington and West Lafayette newspaper.

Just got on the digital Courier and Press. There is a lot of articles at IU baseball, Purdue men's and women's basketball and IU men's basketball. With all the coverage of IU and Purdue makes me wish I was a IU and Purdue fan.

Just got on the digital Courier and Press. There is a lot of articles at IU baseball, Purdue men's and women's basketball and IU men's basketball. With all the coverage of IU and Purdue makes me wish I was a IU and Purdue fan. Anything on USI? Nope. I have a digital subscription also. USI women clinch at least a tie for regular season title and not one mention of it. They are high school only and syndicated IU and Purdue only now. You would think they could at minimum post something that is put out by the university, but no. Once Hendrix and Anthony left they just dropped the ball on local colleges…sad. |

Same with the local news. Watched the CW7 and USI's games were literally the last things they mentioned after 2 4 min segments on the HS wrestling BS (Spoiler alert all local athletes lost) and another 4 min on the Daytona 500 being rained out, Gibson Southern girls basketball won 2 games on one day and they got like 45 second blurb, UK got a 90 second spot. UE women losing got more coverage than USI
No mention of clinching the conference at all.

Every other school from high school to college in Evansville gets zero to occasional mention. Just pathetic imo. I get that they lost Anthony unexpectedly but they don’t even attempt to cover Evansville based teams other than Memorial everything and Mater Dei wrestling. |

Maybe the courier and press should hire writers at USI's The Shield newspaper and a writer from UE's schools newspaper to write articles about USI and UE and put the articles in the courier and press

They just put in little effort for local college sports. |

Attachment DeletedYes a few work here locally that I know of. 3 of them total. Here is the last feature story on anyUSI sport and it was from Anthony on January 25…today is February 19th. I’m telling you the only thing they cover in person now is high school sports.
