Happy to see we hired a new women’s golf coach. She is pretty young, but already has head coaching experience and assistant coaching experience. She was also a college golfer herself so she knows the system well and what it will take to improve our program. Very happy to see this as I felt the women’s coach was not really committed to doing what was necessary to be a top D1 coach. It looks like she is starting immediately and there’s not much she can do with the players we already have this year, but I fully expect her to recruit hard and have some great players come in for next year. I’m pleased that JMH has made this decision to upgrade the program. Attachments:

I like bringing in young coaches with energy and a desire to move up the chain. We won’t keep them long term if they are great, but just having them build a good foundation is good enough……..think Bruce Pearl and wha he did to build our program.

[b It’s much better than alternative. A middle aged coach clicking off the years on his/her pension isn’t going to have the desire to built a program from the bottom up, like so many of our programs need.

Attachment DeletedLooks like our new women’s golf coach is already bringing in top talent to USI. Unlike our previous coaches, she has gone outside the Evansville area to land 3 golfers that have impressive history. This is what I like to see as we get nearer to the end of transition jail. I fully expect our women’s golf team to finally get out of the cellar and start competing with the top of the OVC. The men’s team has been outstanding the last two years and I’m glad to see we have invested in a coach that can take the women there as well.

Just saw we just signed 3 golfers and 1 is from Canada and 1 is from Paraguay. Nice to see we are getting international students.

I’m sorry but the team the last two years was as bad as we have ever had. This new coach will turn this around starting next season.
