USI women's golf withdrew from the Bradley Coyote Classic. This is the second tournament USI has withdrew from. I wonder if there is a problems with the golf team.

When you see the quality of golfers they have, withdrawing is the smartest thing they can do. We need to cut 5-6 sports from this program. I know title xi and all that BS, but we have some programs that are just rotten to the core.

As I have mentioned in other threads, for whatever reasons, the women’s team has just fallen off the competitive cliff recently. Not many numbers on the roster and some on the roster were not even great high school players. I wish the men’s coach would take over the women’s program too. I know for a fact UE used to have one coach for both their men’s and women’s golf because he was my daughters golf/swing coach when she was in high school. Hire an assistant for him so if they play the same weekend that they can cover both events. The women have had some great teams over the past15-20 years until recently. Not sure what’s going on but we need to get back to being a great team. I just looked up some local women’s golf teams rosters and here is what I found. USI. 7 players UE. 12 players Murray State. 10 players Butler. 10 players i used these schools since they are all within 3 hours of us. Why do we only have 7 players? Correlation with success? Why don’t we have many freshmen or sophomores since we are now in year 2 of D1?
